Safety

At Soul HeARTful, our participants' safety and well-being are paramount. To ensure a secure environment for everyone, we have developed a safety protocol. All participants and staff MUST adhere to these guidelines during our workshops and programs.

1. Health and Wellness:

• Stay Home If Unwell: Participants and staff must not attend any workshop or program if they feel unwell, display symptoms of illness, or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for an infectious disease.

• Temperature Checks: Temperature checks will be conducted upon arrival. Anyone with a temperature above the recommended range will not be allowed to participate.

2. Hygiene and Sanitization:

• Hand Hygiene: Participants and staff must frequently wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitiser.

• Respiratory Etiquette: Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow when coughing or sneezing, and dispose of tissues immediately.

3. Workshop Equipment:

• Personal Equipment: Participants can bring their own art supplies or tools when possible to minimize shared equipment.

• Equipment Sanitization: Shared equipment and materials will be regularly sanitized and disinfected.

4. Participant Information:

• Health Declarations: Participants or their parents/guardians must provide accurate health information, including any diagnosed mental health conditions.

• Emergency Contact: Participants must provide accurate emergency contact information.

5. Reporting Illness:

• Prompt Reporting: If a participant becomes unwell during a workshop or program, they should immediately inform a staff member.

6. Food and Beverages:

• Limit Sharing: If food or beverages are provided, sharing will be limited, and disposable items will be encouraged.

7. Cleanliness:

• Regular Cleaning: Workshop spaces and frequently touched surfaces will be regularly cleaned and disinfected.

9. Emergency Response:

• Emergency Evacuation: Participants and staff will be informed of emergency evacuation procedures.

• First Aid: Trained staff members will be present and equipped to provide basic first aid if necessary.

• If participants require medical attention, staff will inform caregivers and participants will be brought to the nearest medical clinic or hospital.
